North Korean scientists have developed a new kind of noodle that delays feelings of hunger, a Japan-based pro-Pyongyang newspaper has reported.

Just perfect for a country like North Korea which is prone to famines and acute food shortages. I have seen a footage of a North Korean orphanage where starving children were fed with sugar water. They had no milk, food or anything else to eat. This is a good invention.

This is a sad joke, a mockery on the poor North Koreans' plight. First they tried to feed the people with super rabbits and now this is another attempt to show how concerned the barbaric regime is towards its starving and dying.

north korea needs to open up the way china has. absolute communism serves none and people suffer badly. instead of discovering some fancy super food like this they must look into their own system and ask themselves why do people have to starve there.

Sounds good to me partly because I love noodles and partly the concept behind this designer food that will make fat people thin and the starving to ward off an agonizing death. BTW will the noodles be as tasty as the traditional ones? If so people would eat more of it diminishing the cause.

I am sure this is the brainchild of the genius called Kim Jong-il. After all leaders like him are born once in a millennium. North Korean publications describe him as a renaissance man who has flown fighter aircraft, an ace film-maker, written operas and shot 11 holes-in-one in his first try at golf!

Oh thank God it is not made of non-veg items. So we don’t feel hungry for longer time after taking it. That’s a good food for the long journey. I hope the Korean people will also findout some drink which will solve the thirst problem as well ( I feel thirsty very often). I like both soybean and corn. So it must be very delicious, I guess!

I think it should be used for only the third world countries who need a high protein high carb diet to fend of starvation.
As grim as the situation in N.Korea maybe, I really love how they probably gave away millions in grants to the scientitss who developed this magic noodle rather than spend it on getting for for their epople.
But if there is any truth in the power of these noodles, trust me developed world gluttons would be the first one to try and get their greedy obese hands on them!
I wonder if the thing can make you loose weight if you exercise enough alongside. If that happens, I totally expect it to replace the Atkins Diet in years to come!!
